In August 2024, Barnyard Chicken is opening on Spruill Ave in the heart of Park Circle, North Charleston, SC. The passion project of acclaimed chef and restaurateur Chef Eric Hara, Barnyard Chicken is the culmination of years of culinary experience, passion, and whimsy.
Barnyard Chicken is bringing an unexpected thrill to an understated concept. Chef Hara's signature dish, The Brick Chicken, has made its home in Park Circle.
MEET THE CHEF
Chef Eric Hara
Born and raised in Southern California, Chef Eric Hara decided to follow his passion for the culinary arts at the young age of 16. After culinary school, Chef Hara went on to study under legendary chefs like Michel Richard and David Burke as he sharpened the skills that have amounted to a 25+ year career. Best known for his work in both Southern California and New York City, Chef Hara was in the limelight of modern American cuisine for nearly a decade by continually reinventing traditional, or otherwise familiar, dishes into something thrilling.
Chef Eric and his wife Carly have worked together many times in their 20 years together and are excited to bring their new concept Barnyard Chicken to the Charleston area!
